Jun 2023, Apple v1.04, v1.0.3

Essential product level for Apple

This is the Essential product level of Trolling Angles for Apple iPhone. The Essential level provides only the most important feature: the patented method which allows you to create a single configuration, to generate a trolling depth curve, and to use the curve to determine the line length for a desired lure depth, and to save and reuse calibrations.
Other features, as are provided by the Android Premium level, will be provided in the future.

Dec 2022, v2.0.2

Resolved Issues with Lure Photos

#177 Error in 30.0.0 Crashlytics BOM, while sending crash details.

#178 Clicking the lure photo icon without a name crashes with NullPointerException

#179 After selecting a photo file, crash with java.lang.SecurityException on older Androids.

#181 After selecting a new photo file, photo is not not immediately updated in the Edit panel

Dec 2022, v2.0.1

Resolved Issues

#173 Using locale fr_CA in v2.0.0 causes crash upon opening the calibrations data file. Angles and lengths are written to the data file with a comma decimal delimiter (10,2) which are not read correctly on startup, causing a NumberFormatException. Fixed in v2.0.1 by accounting for a possible corrupted data file, and by forcing the app to use locale en_US, even when started on a device using a different language. Trolling Angles does not yet provide other localized languages.

#174 Crash when opening Autocline Setup. Fixed a bug causing a NullPointerException crash in AutoclineFragment on Android 12 (API level 31) or later.

#175 Use separate screens for showing the version Updates and the Terms of Use.  This presents the Terms in a more visible manner.

Dec 2021 v1.0.1

Fixes Issues found in the Initial Product Release

  • Fixed issue #45.  “Line Count” labels have been changed to “Line Length”.
  • Fixed issue # 61.  Eliminate exception when using the Trolling activity with no calibrations.  An alert dialog is now displayed.
  • Fixed issue #62.  After exiting measurement, the CalibrationStoreService may not be bound, and fails to store measurements.
  • Fixed issue #63.  The Calibration Edit activity allows an attempt to add measurements with an empty or duplicate invalid calibration name.
  • Fixed issue #64.  When taking measurements with the Smartphone Angle Sensor, with the screen in horizontal mode, the soft keypad allowed changes to both the Line Length and the Line Angle sequentially, which is unnecessary and confusing.  The Line Angle field is now disabled for manual input, so that the keypad is dismissed after the user is done entering the Line Length.
  • Fixed issue #65.  The Calibration Edit activity title is shortened so that it is no longer truncated.

Issue #68 – Address some accessibility issues found in pre-release V1.0.2
