Trolling Angles v3.1.0 is Available

Trolling Angles is an app that lets you measure the depth of a trolled fishing rig.

Just in time for open water season here Up North, an updated version of Trolling Angles is available for Android and Apple smartphones. Here are the most important changes:

Improved Trolling Screen

The Trolling panel includes all the information you are likely to use while trolling, while protecting a completed calibration from modification. On one page, it shows the depth curve, lure photo, and/or text attributes. There is a Depth Control slider, GPS information with Current Correction, and Speed Control.

Improved Speed Control

The Speed Control on the Trolling Page has been improved. If the calibration is not part of a gauge, it shows the calibration’s speed and warns you if the GPS speed differs from the calibration speed.

If the calibration is part of a speed gauge, the graph shows the curve for each other calibration in the gauge, and the speed control lets you change the calibration speed by entering numbers, using a slider, or by automatically using the GPS. The app calculates and uses an interpolated curve for the new speed. The GPS option automatically continuously updates the speed, so that you can see the depth of a weighted lure or cannonball change as you speed up and slow down.

Metric Units

The user may change preference settings so that new calibrations use either feet or meters for lengths and depths, and to use either miles-per-hour or kilometers-per-hour for speed.

Updated Documentation

The User Guide has been updated for the new changes, and several topics have been added to the FAQ section. If you have questions, you may find answers there.

If you are new to Trolling Angles, start with the main Trolling Angles web page.
